Do we have anything in place to try to keep people involved and keep the Events list on the front page current? I came by for the first time in a while today and was shocked (and frankly, a little offended) to see that both the Upcoming Events page and the Past Events page were missing an embarrassing amount of content, including all of the conventions with GBC layouts in the US. I've added a few that were missing, but I'm sure there's still more.

I think that if we're going to have this as one of the first things people see on the site, we need to make an effort to keep it somewhat accurate. I know we've been busy with plenty of displays, so having our website look like a ghost town gives completely the wrong impression.

I was making changes initially and then for whatever reason I could no longer edit. It lets me edit but doesn't save.

Do you mean that the edits take an exceptionally long time to save, and that you just close the tab since the edits are pretty much un-saveable because it takes so long? Because unfortunately it seems that we've been having some server troubles this week.

What does it say when you press submit? Does the screen stay the same? How many times have you tried editing and is there a sample page you could provide us that doesn't work for you? :)

@Tom Atkinson: What operating system (+its version) and browser (+its version) were you using? Do you know how to debug HTTP requests? On Internet Explorer and Firefox, pressing the F12 key on your keyboard pops up the developer tools console, which has a "Network" tab. On IE you have to click on the green "Play" icon for it to start listening to requests; Firefox listens to all HTTP requests when you have the Network tab open. What's the response you get from the server when you press the "Save page" button on an edit screen? Is it a HTTP 500 error page or something similar? If so, that would indicate a software problem of some kind.

However...I think and I most certainly hope that this was a temporary problem that's been already resolved. But in the case that that's not so, it's important for us to know, so please try out editing and report back to us. Thanks!

I moved Fort Wayne to past events and added the Indy Brick Expo show. Also did a minor edit on the main page so the cache would update the main page and update the new info since the events page is embedded.

Please email me about this. That doesn't sound like expected behaviour.
